Kanika's Story: From Necessity to Innovation
As a biomedical engineer, I’ve always been fascinated by the science behind skincare products. My love for skincare actually began years ago as a teenager, when I would tag along with my dad to his workplace and get a behind-the-scenes look at how everyday products were made. It sparked a curiosity in me that never really left. By my twenties, I used anti-aging products with retinol, an ingredient I trusted and that worked in my routine.
The idea for iMiracle came to me during one of the most meaningful times in my life: when I was preparing to become a mother. I learned that retinol was not safe to use during pregnancy, and suddenly, I felt like I had to choose between my skincare routine or my health. If I was struggling with this choice, I wondered how many other women were facing the same challenge. That's when my mission began. I started searching for something that was both safe and effective.
My search led me to discover Bakuchiol, a powerful yet gentle, plant-based alternative to retinol. It became the heart of my formula. To make it even more effective, I added Pullulan for its skin-firming benefits and drew inspiration from my father’s work with protective technologies to include an extra layer of proactive protection against everyday environmental stressors.
